If you are looking for expert, loving care for someone with dementia, Alzheimer's or EMI, Upton House may be the answer. We provide a warm, welcoming and friendly home for up to 20 residents in our large, specially adapted Georgian house. It's situated in secure grounds in the pretty village of Worth near Sandwich.

Upton House has been owned and run by the same family for over thirty nine years, with a team of professional, highly trained staff who love what they do and the residents they care for. We're proud of our excellent reputation and the quality of our care.
Our aim is to help our residents live as happily, independently and comfortably as possible. So we provide superb home-cooked food and lots of activities, such as art sessions, music therapy and reminiscence. But we also celebrate festivals, holidays and birthdays. In fact, we make the most of every opportunity to live, laugh and enjoy being together as a family. Which is truly what we are.

So, as well as making our residents' lives as fulfilling and enjoyable as possible, the way we deliver our services ensures dignity, privacy and modesty at all times.

Members of our care team usually stay with us for many years and benefit from continual training. As a consequence, visitors and families often comment on the safe and calm atmosphere at Upton.
However frail and vulnerable they may be, our residents have led full and fascinating lives, often with successful careers and professions. Many will also have lived according to strong ethics and principles, and we respect these values. Before admission, we ask for a detailed biography on which we base a dedicated and unique care plan. This helps determine practical needs as well as the activities and interests we provide.
We arrange everything around the individual and personal needs of our residents. There are scheduled activities,to soothe or stimulate minds and bodies, but no strict timetable. Residents can get up and go to bed when they wish and spend their time as they please. Nutrition is a vital part of dementia care, so we use locally sourced ingredients for meals that are home-cooked, individually prepared – and eagerly anticipated!
